Twinning is emerging from hibernation! We were delighted to welcome to Kidderminster a delegation from Husum: Uwe Schmitz (Buergermeister)}, Martin Kindle (Buergervorsteher), Senators Horst Bauer and Norbert Pfeiffer plus our old friends Rainer Maass (chair of Husum’s Twinning Association and also ex-Buergermeister) and his wife Eva.
After an exhausting day's travelling (via Munich!) the group reassembled on Friday morning at the Town Hall for a Mayoral reception. The civic group met with the new Town Clerk (now called CEO, but still our vice-president!) Lee Jakeman, who briefed them on the plans for the town hall redevelopment.

Visit to King Charles I School
Fresh from lunch with the new CEO (aka Town Clerk) Lee Jakeman, our guests were taken up to King Charles 1 School. Real live Germans at a year 11 German class, & over afternoon tea & school tour afterwards, sparked huge enthusiasm for linking with Husum!! Bring it on...
Crocus Planting
On Saturday morning our visitors planted Husum crocuses outside Trinity Methodist Church awhic will provide a reminder of the Husum Crocus Festival every spring
